National Safety Council's Emergency Care programs are an internationally recognized authority on first aid procedures and CPR instruction. Both programs are recognized by federal OSHA and MOSH (Maryland Occupational Safety & Health). CPR programs comply with the latest guidelines as outlined by the American Heart Association. National Safety Council First Aid & CPR courses as taught by the Chesapeake Region Safety Council, Inc. comply with requirements of OSHA’s General First Aid Standard CFR 1910.151. They also satisfy OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard CFR 1910.1030 as it relates to employee emergency medical caregivers - included in both courses is a review of OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standards, such as the use of resuscitation barrier devices.
